Robbie Keane, Leeds 2001

I found it quite surprising that they never made a Keane figure in Leeds colours. This could be because, under O'Leary, we already had about 3 billion other strikers...

I decided to go with the Champions League season kit, I guess that's because it holds better memories than the next season's one.

(I also had Barmby, Morris and Domi figures that I planned on painting in the next kit design, albeit with different sponsors)

Anyway, here's a photo of it:
(I even had a go at those boots!)

One of my favourite things about this repaint: I left it on the table to dry, next to a Michael Bridges original, which I had been using to copy the kit.

My housemate had a look at them both, and thought that mine was the professionally produced one!

Cheers Iain!

'Humes' Newcastle Goalie kit

repainted corinthian figure

Here's an interesting request I got for an order a short while back.

The request was from a man who wanted a figure of his teenage son!

I found 3 possible 'lookalike' figures, and he chose this one himself.

Then I let him decide on all the details that he wanted: kit, name and shirt number, and even boots!

If you would like a similar service, get in touch : )

(In case you are wondering, the original figure is Branagan)

We all dream of a Team of Matt Le Tiss!

Here's a kit you may have seen on here before, but a post I feel proud to make!

After a fair bit of contact on twitter with the guy I sold the first Guernsey Le Tiss to, here are a bunch that he is now going to sell on match days : )

Within an hour of this picture going up on twitter, he had agreed deals to sell 3 of them!

COYGL!

Jody Morris, Leeds

You may have noticed that players hardly have to be Leeds legends to get repainted by me. They just have to have played for Leeds and be accessible on ebay.

Here's a repaint that proves this entirely!

Morris: Proof that I'll paint pretty much anyone who's played for Leeds.

Only 12 games for us, and then celebrating like a tit when he scored a penalty at Elland Road for Millwall.

Leeds UNited worst signings

He also had a haircut in between this figure being made and him joining us!

EDIT: Oh, and another thing... 'Sporting Heroes'?! LOL.

Milestone

Good day chums!

For those of you that didn't already know, I also have a facebook page for my Corinthian repaints.

It recently celebrated something of a milestone; ahem... smashing through the 100 fans barrier!

Like I said; smashing!

Anyway, if you'd like to 'like' my facebook page, I'd be eternally grateful!

Thanks

'Hatch' Stallone, Escape to Victory

Here's my latest Escape to Victory repaint.

Obviously I had to choose a 'lookalike' figure for Stallone, so went with Raul.

The only thing that doesn't sit quite right with me on this one is that he isn't in a 'keepers pose. I may attempt to rectify that when I have some time to experiment with head transplants in the summer!

Here he is in the film (in a standard Corinthian keeper pose too!)

Terry Phelan, Leeds

Leeds united corinthian figures

My search for Corinthians of players to represent Leeds is leading me to more obscure players!

Phelan emerged from the Leeds Youth academy in the 80s, playing for us 14 times, before moving on to have a fairly successful career at premiership and international level.

Here is pretty much the only photographic evidence that I can find of him in a Leeds shirt!!

Decals

Just to give a bit of insight into my process, for anyone who's interested;

An important part of my repainting actually doesn't involve paint at all.

While some 'purists' paint all their logos, sponsors, and names and numbers, I think that if transfers were good enough for Corinthian, then they're good enough for me!

This afternoon, I've been editing, and printing some transfers, ready for use:

Darren Annon, Enfield FC away

Soccer football, corinthian figures

Here's another throwback to my days supporting Enfield FC!

This is Darren Annon in an away kit that I can most accurately describe as 'mid to late 90s'!

Here's his fairly extensive Wiki page...

And here's a pic for those of you that didn't instantly recognise the kit:
