Lombardo, Palace

One of those: "Sorry, what?!!" transfers in the late 1990s was Attilio Lombardo to Crystal Palace.

Strange goings on in the board room, and an unsuccessful stint as player manager aside, Lombardo was class on the pitch for them.

As far as I'm aware, he's still a popular figure with Palace fans, and was voted into their Centenary Greatest XI, in spite of a relatively short time with the club. All of this would explain someone wanting a repaint of him anyway!

The chosen kit was Palace's away shirt from the 1997-98 season.

Collymore, Villa away.

Had the idea of doing a new blog post... but feel like I have very little inclination to write.

So...

Here's Stan Collymore in Villa away kit:

I think it looks pretty good.

Bremner Keymen, Admiral kits

A new variety of figure! My first experience of painting  die-cast Keymen figures.

I've done 4 Billy Bremners so far, all in various Leeds kits. Here are the first 2:

The figures weren't in the best condition, but the kits still looked pretty good when finished. I was hoping the paint would cover the cracks, but not quite!

Keep your eye out for 2 more Bremner Keymen in future!

Taribo West, Plymouth

With the World Cup on the brain, here's a player who figured in 2 tournaments for Nigeria.

So naturally, here he is in Plymouth Argyle kit:

I reckon this one's pretty unique! That's one of the reasons I did it... along with trying to get the attention of the Quickly Kevin podcast!! (One of the presenters is a big Plymouth fan!)

Incidentally, if you've never listened, it's well worth a go! I often listen to it while painting. Find it here!

This is still available for purchase, by the way, so if you're interested, comment, or get me via twitter or Facebook- details in the banner heading.

Zlatan, LA Galaxy

After my most monthly blog views in a couple of years, I then went a month without a single post!! Anyone would think I had school reports to write!!

Anyway, back with some red hot content, with a player in the news today. Cos keeping my finger on the pulse of the day's football news is always an objective on this blog!!

Here's Zlatan Ibrahimovic, in his LA Galaxy debut get up.

Very pleased with it, as was the customer. One of my Facebook page viewers said he thought it was the best I've done!

In case you are unaware of why Zlatan is in the news today, England are playing Sweden, and he and Becks have come up with this agreement:
