Mixed Spurs

Another mixed post; let's do it! I haven't even checked who's up next in the Spurs section of my repaint album...

Well, we've definitely reached the stage where repaints that I don't think of as old were done at least 3 or 4 years ago.

This one, for example. I know lockdown has made a lot of things feel 3 or 4 years ago, but one thing I know for sure is: it's been quite a while since I took my photos in the location this one is in. You'll notice the sort of leafy wallpaper in the background of the newer ones!

But also, this is not so old that I look at it and immediately see 5 or 6 things I'm unhappy with!!

Note the wallpaper!! Fairly simple one this, though.

Aaaand 3 more that are a bit older. Aside from all the painting improvements, I've also got much better at photographing them!!

Hope this post cheers up any Spurs fans that see it a bit!

EDIT: Didn't realise til I started adding the tags- there are 3 different kinds of figures in here! 4 if you want to get even more picky about the figure types... which I generally don't!!

Everton mixed figures(?!)

Following on from the success (ie actually doing a blogpost) of mixed Liverpool and mixed Leeds posts, here are some mixed Everton figures!

...

At least, that was the plan until I started uploading the pics, and the first 3 were all in the same kit!

As a result, I've decided to make this an Everton 97-98 post instead.

Quite a fiddly kit this one! I was happy with the detail in the end though. Only 2 of the figures have a collar sculpted on, so if you look carefully, you can see it's just painted on all the others.

As I'm sure many of you will have worked out, Ball is a lookalike figure. As for the 2 number 10s; don't know! I'm guessing Speed left halfway through the season and was replaced by Hutchison, but I'm not sure and, tbh, I can't be bothered checking right now!

Mixed Leeds post!

Looking at which teams I have the biggest picture back log of, it would make sense to do a Leeds post like the recent Liverpool one. So, with no thoughts on theme, and just going on alphabetical order, here are a few!

I've done these first 2 quite a few times each now, as you'd expect for title winners! Some people ask for Cantona in 7, but he wore quite the variety of shirt numbers in that season, including 2 and 3, if I remember rightly!

In a small act of pettiness that I'm sure Leeds fans can get behind, I prefer to put him in 14; a subs number, to show he wasn't that important to the side...

I love this Charles repaint. I have 2 in my own collection- the 'old gold' and one in the all white of the 60s... but I think I might like this better than either of them!! Probably down to the socks, in truth!

It might surprise a few to find out that I've also done this one at least 3 times. Collectors are a funny sort!!

Finally: Deano. I've done this kit a few times, but more commonly on Yeboah and Gary Speed. A first outing for Brian Deane in this kit. Well, in terms of my repaints, anyway!

Mixed Liverpool figures

I have now got a lot, and I mean A LOT, of Liverpool figures which I have finished, but not added to the blog.

My feelings are that, to get a nice mixture of kits and players, the best way to start is to probably stick them up in alphabetical order.

With that in mind, here are a few mixed Liverpool repaints!

Minor remodel on this Phill Babb figure; I filled in the v neck in order to get the white part of this 'collar' nice and round, and more even looking. Nice and simple apart from that small extra job!

I'll be honest and say this is a design that I put off doing for a while. It was the thought of those thick adidas stripes on the shoulder. Once I cracked on though, they didn't give me too many problems. Definitely preferable to the 93-94 design, with the adidas stripes coming in from each side of the stomach!

Nice kit to do this one. People might think it looks difficult, and, while I always keep a pic of the kit nearby to refer to, once you've got the kinds of shapes that feature in mind, it's fairly straightforward, as long as you've got a thin brush! The shapes and lines can always ben thinned a bit once they've dried too!

See: comment on the Barnes figure!

Hope you enjoyed perusing, and my notes!

More soon!

Stuart Pearce x3

Time for a trio of Stuart Pearce repaints, including the iconic mid 90s yellow away kit:

I haven't got much else to say about them, to be honest!

Although... I do have an idea for another interesting Pearce repaint. Knowing my record of blogging my figures currently, you'll probably see it here in 3 to 4 years time. You're better off following my Instagram or Facebook, tbh!! (Links in header)
