Coleman, England

I thought I hadn't posted a Vivid Imaginations Figure for a while, so here's one that someone asked me to do as a present for a mate.

This is 'Coleman', and the kit requested was England's World Cup Italia '90 strip.

I've done it several times before on Prostar figures, but this was the first time on one this size. That certainly made for the details round the collar and cuffs to be a bit easier!

I've still got more VI repaint photos queued up in my repaints folder, so maybe you'll see some more soon!

If you'd like a similar service, please contact me, via facebook or twitter.

Cantona, Leeds x3

I may have posted one of these before, but I'm sure you'll forgive me if I have!!

Here are three Cantonas, in Leeds 91-92 title winning kits:

These 2 were for customers. As you'll know if you've read before, I have a bit of a thing for shirt numbers. I find it interesting that people tend to choose number 14 for this season's kits, though 7 has been asked for before.

I looked into it recently, and found out that he didn't actually wear the number 7 for Leeds in 1991-92. He did wear it frequently in 92-93 before leaving.

Shirt numbers were 1-11 at that time but players tended to have their favourites, so when Cantona started, he tended to take what was left... even leading to him wearing number 2 and 3 shirts a few times. He was more frequently a sub in this season though, meaning 12 or 14.

This one was for me!!

I'd considered getting this a while ago, but found it to be too expensive! I found it for a reasonable price, recently, so went for it!!

I chose this kit, because I'd already done the above figure in 92/93 kit.

Leeds Tonkas, 99-2000

Some absolutely beautiful kits in this round of Leeds Tonkas! In fact, I still have, and wear 2 of them!

This was a great season for Leeds- their highest finish since the start of the Premier League, and a run to the UEFA Cup semi final.

That run featured a couple of rare goals for Lucas Radebe; one of them in the sky blue kit, hence choosing him for this repaint.

Harte made team of the year that season for his performances at left back, while Michael Bridges had his best season at Leeds, bagging 21 goals in all competitions.

Gilardino and Mutu, Fiorentina

I've done 4 Fiorentina repaints recently.

I've already posted some of them on my Facebook page, but these are the first 2 on my blog. Keep your eyes peeled for the others!

I've posted these two together as due to being in the same kit (in shirt number order, of course!)

Purple is often a difficult colour to mix and in the brand of paint that I use, I've only seen it in gloss, it ended up ok here, I think.

I like how clearly the badges stand out on these repaints.

Francis, Man City

Here's a Corinthian repaint of Trevor Francis in a Man City away kit.

I actually did this quite a while ago, and realised I haven't posted it yet! I'd definitely class it as one of those times where less is more, and a simple repaint ended up looking pretty classy!

Maybe this was further helped by the traditional nature of Man City's away colours.

Gary Speed, Bolton Vivid Imaginations figure

The fact that the facial likenesses on Vivid Imaginations figures aren't perfect always gives a bit of leeway with finding 'lookalikes'!

A Bolton fan asked me to do this one as Gary Speed, and I was happy to oblige.

RIP Gary xxx

McCall and Ndlovu, Sheffield United

I've been racking up the Sheffield United repaints recently! The ones that I've posted her (and on Facebook) thus far have mainly been for one guy, but a second Blades fan has been in touch with requests, so expect to see more in the future!

I've put these two in the same post, due to them being in the same kit.

Very pleased with both of these, though for some, possibly indefinable reason, I feel the paint job on the McCall one is slightly slicker.

That said, I've also got plenty of time for the trademark Ndlovu gloves!

More SUFC figures soon!

Bosnich, Chelsea

Here's a repaint that I just did because I thought it had a decent chance of selling!!

I had a Bosnich in my box of spares; I know there are quite a few Chelsea supporters on the Facebook Corinthian group... and it worked!

Bosnich was at Chelsea for a couple of years, but only managed 7 first team, competitive appearances. As Wiki puts it, it was at Chelsea where 'his career hit rock bottom' when he failed a drugs test, and was sacked.
