Ryan Giggs, Team GB

So, those of you who are members of my new facebook page will have already seen this. For those that haven't:

Definitely one of my best yet! I enjoyed painting this one. (More Team GB players to come...)

The badges and name/number are done with decals; the boots and the red no.11 on the front are hand-painted.

Maybe I should have selected a Giggs figure with slightly less hair...

Oh, and because I am pleased with the likeness, and they may otherwise go unnoticed, here are the boots!

Minor Adjustments:

It always bothered me slightly that the 95-96 Leeds Corinthians had the badge on the right and nothing on the left.

So I decided to put that right!

I've added the 'LUFC' script to all of them... apart from Rod Wallace, who I'm still waiting to get hold of! (Not sure whether I would adjust him or not!!)

Denis Irwin, Leeds

Here's Irwin in Leeds 1984-85 kit.

... Don't really have much more to say! I haven't bothered putting on a photo of the back, cos we've all seen the number 2 before! (No names on shirts in those days)

The only pic of Irwin I could find of Irwin in this kit is the team photo:

Le Tissier, Guernsey FC

Some people may have missed this one, but, at 44 years old, Matt le Tissier turned out for Guernsey FC  this season, to help them out with fixture congestion.

Having a double of him in my big box made this inevitable:

This is the first time I've used white transfer paper for the sponsor, badge and number, and it went without a hitch! 

Here's the man himself in action, for those of you that wouldn't already recognise the Guernsey shirt!

This figure is also my first sale since taking up repainting!

Kolo Toure, Man City

On cup final day, here's my first Man City repaint:

Ok... so maybe not the biggest name to do a Man City repaint of, but a figure that I could get my hands on with relative ease!

(May do Tevez and Barry, depending on figure prices on ebay!)

Don't know if he still wears silver boots; just left them from the original model.

Leroy May; Enfield FC

Regular viewers may have noticed I have a teensy bit of an affinity with Leeds United!

In my youth, I was also a season ticket holder at Enfield FC, in their Southbury Road hayday!

Here's a repaint of Striker Leroy May, in what I can best pinpoint as a 'late 90s' kit:

The sponsor is slightly too far over, but the badge came out well, and I'm pleased with the sleeves! 

Still gutted I never got myself this shirt! 

(The only pic I could find of the kit was this one, which shows Wayne Brown, rather than Leroy... and also shows that I did the collar wrong : /)

Becks PNE

Particularly pleased with the level of detail on the boots (Becks wore Asics at the time) even if the base is a little dusty!

So, with it being a Bank Holiday weekend, I've had the time to do a bit of repainting for the first time in ages! 

No more finished models as yet, but here's a sneak preview of a few works in progress:

Hopefully at least one or two of them will be finished in the next few days; a possibility made more likely by the arrival of this in the post this morning:

I like this pic, as a way to look at the way the famous red and yellow kit, as well as the marvellous blonde locks progressed!

Well, what can I say; my teaching placement means that I am fast running out of my stockpiled pictures to post! Maybe I'll get one or two done over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
