Suarez, Barcelona

Not often that I do a blog post with just one picture on these days, is it?!

Funnily enough though, I only have one Barcelona pic in my repaints album that is unused. And here he is:

Quite a nice Suarez figure, if I say so myself.

For those of you wondering, you're right: Corinthian didn't make a Suarez figure! Unless I am mistaken, this is a remodel using a Kodoto head...

The reason I don't know for sure is that I didn't remodel it myself; it was sent to me like that. I just painted it!

Barca x2

A couple of Barcelona figures today, why not?

stoichkov barcelona corinthian repaint

Romario barcelona custom corinthian figure

I did 2 similar figures a couple of years ago, but in the kit from the season before... or maybe after! I remember them being quite tricky as their wasn't a central stripe, which, I think I've mentioned before is the one that is key for me in getting it even!

With that in mind, I'd say these 2 were a bit easier for me... and probably better too.

Click the Barcelona tag if you want to compare them. you won't have to scroll back far. Probably!

Ronaldinho x2

Funny how, previous to these 2, I'm fairly sure my only Ronaldinho repaint was of him in St Mirren kit!!

Here are 2 of Ronnie in more familiar kits!

Ronaldinho barcelona 2006 final corinthian repaint

This one is of the kit worn in the 2006 Champions League final, which is why he's not wearing blue shorts. I really like the yellow and red stripe patch on the back of the neck. You can't see it here, but there is another on the side of the shorts

Ronaldinho barcelona away kit corinthian repaint

I case you're scratching your head about this one; yes, it was actually released by corinthian, and I was quick to point that out to the guy that asked me to do it. He already knew this anyway; apparently, it's so hard to get hold of that he thought it would be quicker and easier to get a repaint done!

I quite like figures with hair that obscures the number! It doesn't particularly make it easier or harder, it's just something a bit different I can do!

Romario and Stoichkov, Barca

Champions League semi-final number 2 tonight. Let's have a look at a couple of Barca repaints:

I loved these as a pairing when I was little. I watched them both in the 1994 World Cup, and especially loved Romario for Brazil.

When I found out afterwards that he played for Barcelona, I was like: Yeah, that makes sense!!

I liked these repaints, but, as I think I've mentioned before, asymmetric shirts aren't as easy as ones where there is one central stripe that I can start with!!

I think I managed to keep them pretty even though!

Larsson, Barcelona x2

These repaints are the latest in the 'series' requested by a big Larsson fan, attempting to chronicle his whole career in corinthian form!

While there were many Celtic figures of him released, last month saw me repaint him in Feyenoord away kit, and this month, a couple of Barcelona!

I think he has a few more planned too!

I was glad that Larsson did well at Barcelona, while his record at Celtic was incredible, I think this move, and his roughly 1 in 3 goal ratio while there helped to put to bed the idea that he couldn't do it in a better league.
