Next 4 Everton

I do find it pleasing when the next 4 figures for a club in my repaints album all have different kits!

This is the third time I've done this Ferguson Cup Final celebration figure, and I'd say it's the best! It's mainly the same as the others, but with a few more years of practice behind me, I was happy to have a go at the thin white and blue stripes on the collar. On the others, I think I just did it lighter blue, as that's how it looks from a distance.

First Everton Soccerstarz, if I remember rightly. As ever with the Hummel kits, you can't see the chevrons on the sleeves very well!

Franny Jeffers. Nice clean lines round the collar, if I say so myself.

And finally McCall... the details around the top of the socks are my favourite bit!! That's the kind of detail I look at them in!

Everton mixed figures(?!)

Following on from the success (ie actually doing a blogpost) of mixed Liverpool and mixed Leeds posts, here are some mixed Everton figures!

...

At least, that was the plan until I started uploading the pics, and the first 3 were all in the same kit!

As a result, I've decided to make this an Everton 97-98 post instead.

Quite a fiddly kit this one! I was happy with the detail in the end though. Only 2 of the figures have a collar sculpted on, so if you look carefully, you can see it's just painted on all the others.

As I'm sure many of you will have worked out, Ball is a lookalike figure. As for the 2 number 10s; don't know! I'm guessing Speed left halfway through the season and was replaced by Hutchison, but I'm not sure and, tbh, I can't be bothered checking right now!

Everton, 1985-86 (I think... without checking)

Another Everton set for one of my regulars, and it's featuring a fair few lookalikes this time.

He probably shares the same frustrations as me as a Leeds fan, in that many of the greats from one of their best eras never made it into corinthian form.

Anyway, here they are. Lineker and Steven are the ones Corinthian made as themselves!!

Nice kit this one, and also the first outing for the le coq sportif number font that I found!

To be honest, I don't even know if the lookalikes are good!! He just sent the figures to me! I didn't google them, and my knowledge of football in the 1980s isn't great... mainly cos Leeds were crap!!

Everton, Salmon away kit

When this set of figures arrived on my doorstep, I looked at the accompanying picture, and thought to myself: I have literally zero recollection of this kit!!

I even decided to ask the followers of my facebook page what colour they would call it. Apparently it was officially marketed as salmon!

Anyway, here are 6 Everton figures in Salmon kit, the paint for which was lovingly mixed by my own fair hand!!

Everton 2000-02

I thought I'd go with some Everton figures today. For some reason, I didn't save a picture of them all together, so there are 6 separate ones!!

When doing a set like this, I find one of the most important things is ensuring that the details match- eg the bits under the arms, thin lines etc, and sometimes the different body poses mean it takes a little thought.

I find it interesting which players people find important enough to choose 'lookalikes' of. I wouldn't have had Steve Watson down as crucial, but I think the collector that ordered these is something of a completist!

The original is Lars Bohinen, btw.

This is the second rare-ish Campbell I've done for this collector... and rarer to come!!

Yep, it's a Pembridge!! I think he has another to do in future as well!

I think I've spoken about this before, but when it comes to rare figures, I'm of the mindset that: he paid for it, he can do what he likes!

That's why I repainted Haaland, Alan Wright and Sheridan for my own collection, and also added crests and sponsors to my unreleased David White.

Naysmith,.. see comment re: Watson. The lookalike is Hleb.

I'm only writing here cos I feel I have to after commenting individually on all the others.

Aaaaand, we're done!

Everton, 91-93

Seeing as it's been a while since I posted any Everton photos, how about 3 in their 1991-93 kit:

Kenny Sansom custom everton corinthian figure

Martin Keown repainted corinthian figure Everton

peter beardsley custom everton corinthian figure

Relatively simple, but with a couple of bits I really like... unfortunately only one shows properly on the pic; that being the tiny stripes on the front part of the collar.

The other details I really liked about these are the sort of half umbro pattern on the players right sleeve and left side of the shorts.

Pity I didn't photograph it, eh?!

At least you've got a clear look at that lovely umbro shirt number font!

Everton 1999-2000, part 4!

OK, so as far as I know, this is it for this kit, as far as upcoming blogposts go.

(I mean, you never know, but these are the last of these that I currently have saved!)

So here we go:

david weir everton corinthian repaint

francis jeffers custom corinthian everton figure

mark hughes custom everton corinthian figure

Not much more to say about this kit at this stage... tho as an interesting piece of miscellany, while I was doing these (and the ones in part 3) I did 3 in a row, in the same body pose! Jeffers, Weir and... another one.

Just felt a bit strange to do 3 like that all at once. Not sure whether it made me even more precise than usual, or just more paranoid about said precision!

Everton, 1999-2000 part 3!

I didn't know there was going to be a part 3 to this set, but then another order came in, and here we are!

Everton, 99-2000:

john collins everton corinthian repaint custom figure

nicky barmby custom everton figure corinthian

don hutchison custom everton corinthian

Having already done 2 blog posts about the same kit, I don't really have much more to say about it...

What I could add is that this set of figures is why Don Hutchison now follows me on instagram!

Part 4 coming soon...

Everton 05-06

Well Everton fans, I promised you a post today, and here are 6 brand spanking new Everton repaints, in the 2005-06 season kit:

Joseph Yobo everton 2005-06 repainted corinthian

David weir everton 2005-06 corinthian repaint

Duncan Ferguson everton 2005-06 custom corinthian repaint

simon davies everton 2005-06 corinthian repaint

Phil Neville everton 2005-06 corinthian repaint

Andy van der Meyde everton 2005-06 corinthian repaint

A brand new blog post from me, and a 4-0 drubbing for Liverpool last night; maybe things are on the up for you guys!!

This was a fairly straightforward kit to paint, but, as is often the case with 'batch painting' a load of figures in the same kit, the key thing  (and maybe the hardest part) was keeping them consistent. Those white flashes might not look difficult, but keeping them the same on figures with different poses wasn't as easy as you migt expect.

Other comments... it's taken me longer than I'd like to admit to to get the figures on this post in shirt number order! Don't know if that's down to me, or down to blogger playing silly beggars... so I'll say it's the latter!

I also managed to upload one in the wrong kit, so maybe it was just me after all!

Everton 1999-2000 Part 2!

Part 2 of the Everton 1999-2000 figures! Little did I know when I wrote part one, that there is also going to be a part 3. Part 4 as well, if I stick to 3 figures on a post.

They are very much at the 'Work in Progress' stage at the moment tho.

Here are the next 3, in shirt number order of course!

Terry Phelan Everton Corinthian repaint

Abel Xavier Custom corinthian repaint everton

Slaven Bilic repainted everton corinthian figure

This was the first time I've done a Xavier. Interesting sculpt!

It's also the first time I've had a Bilic in my hands. He's pretty rare, but it's not the best likeness, is it?!

More Everton soon!

Everton 1999-2000, Part 1

I'm only here cos I don't want to start writing my assignment...

So, as I am here, how about some Everton figures?
Richard Gough Everton custom corinthian figure

Kevin Campbell Custom Everton Corinthian Figure

Scott Gemmill custom everton corinthian figure repaint

I've actually done 6 Everton repaints into this kit, but I haven't put 6 photos into this one blog post. I'm not a maniac!

This is a pretty simple kit, but I was pleased with how clean the lines are around the neck. I also think the thin white line on the sleeve adds a lot!

This batch of figures was also the first time I've painted a Kevin Campbell, who I understand is pretty rare!

I've got plenty more Everton figures coming for you to keep an eye out for, including some pretty good (if i say so myself!) Neville Southall repaints, and minor remodels!

Funnily enough, at the same time I received the figures to repaint into Everton kits, I got a pretty large Liverpool order too! I'm just waiting for confirmation of their arrival before I start posting pics of them! Keep an eye on my facebook page and instagram as well as here!

Ferguson, Everton Cup Final

I've been well up for remodels recently!!

I've just finished a pretty cool Ian Wright one (if you want, you can watch a YouTube video about it by clicking here) and have ideas for 2 more definites in the near future!

Any suggestions, stick 'em in the comments!!

Anyway, here's one of the first remodels I did. It's pretty basic, but you've got to start somewhere!

Duncan Ferguson famously donned a blue nose after Everton won the FA Cup, and that was all I had to make for this one!! If I remember rightly (I made this quite a long time ago!!) I also had to change the sponsor on the shirt, as this figure was made in the next season's kit... which was the same apart from the sponsor!
