Robben, Bayern

I've only done 4 Soccerserie figures in total, and two of them have been Robben!

Here's the second one:

This one was a simpler kit than the first, but still looks great in my humble opinion!

The main problem I had with it was that the red paint I had bought was really thin, for some reason! It was solved by an extra coat or two, and careful placement of the figure when it was drying!

I was also pleased that I had the stand available to use for the photo of this one, and the Klose figure; it looked better than with just me holding it by one of the feet!

Ok... so the figure has a little too much hair!

Klose Soccerserie, Bayern

A while back, I painted my first Soccerseries figures. Recently I was offered the chance to paint a couple more!

Here's the first:

Another Bayern Munich one!

I was pleased with how it turned out!

Miroslav Klose played 149 games for Bayern in all competitions, scoring 53 goals. A pretty good record at a little over 1 every 3 games.

Here's the picture of the real Klose in the kit:

Another Bayern Soccerserie coming soon!

Robben, Bayern Soccerserie.

I'm always keen to paint different types or brands of figures when I get the chance, so when one of my regulars asked me about repainting a couple of Soccerserie figures, I was keen to give it a go.

Here's the result:

As you can see, it's Arjen Robben, with a little more hair than we've become accustomed to seeing him with, in Bayern kit!

I enjoyed painting it a lot! In some ways, painting bigger figures is easier, on account of details and lines not having to be as thin.

As with the Wanchope Vivid Imaginations figure I did, one of the more time consuming elements of this one was the fact that it's originally shiny finish made it need more coats of paint than a standard Prostar, and a little more care to ensure an even finish.

Overall tho, I was delighted with it! Gladly, my customer was too!

Here's the shirt, to compare it to:

Keep your eye on my blog for more Soccerserie repaints in future! One definite, 2 maybes!!
