Batty, Leeds 1992

This isn't the first David Batty repaint that I've done, and I wouldn't count on it being the last!

I had a spare Batty figure in the first 'big box', that I got, so decided that it was time to put him into a more significant kit, rather than just an interesting to paint kit, as linked above!

This repaint shows Batty in the 1991-92 Leeds home kit; the kit in which they became the last champions of the old first division.

I am now thinking about trying to put together the whole starting XI!

Really enjoyed doing this order!

Someone contacted me through my facebook page asking me to do repaints for his two sons in their club kits.

We worked together to select the figures, and the only other thing he had to do was send me a picture of the kit!

The request also included personalised boot colour, names, numbers, a captain's band and even eye colour.

If you would like a similar service as a present for your kids, or even a mate who plays Sunday League, give me a message!

Lukaku, Everton

Here's Romelu Lukaku in this season's Everton home kit.

I originally bought this Melchiot figure to do a fairly obscure Leeds related repaint, but when it arrived, I felt that it had a greater resemblance to Romelu.

Add this to the fact that I had previous sales to an Everton fan, and Bob was my reasonably close male relative.

As it happened, he already had a Lukaku figure from another repainter!

As a result, this one went on ebay, and sold for a reasonable amount... I'm convinced it would have gone for more had he not gone and had his hair cut the week before I listed it!

Here's a picture to compare the kit to:

Christie: Leeds

Malcolm Christie. Leeds... for a short while.

It's not like I had a big choice of kits to put him in, but I went with the away from the 08/09 season, as it was in this that he bagged his only Leeds goal.

Also, I do enjoy the challenge of a new kit, and I had never done one quite like this one before.

Don't feel that the white writing is very clear... but I always thought that about the real kit, anyway!

... this pic has made me realise I got the neck slightly wrong and that I could have redone the boots.
GGRRRR.

EDIT: Further realisation: I've put the wrong shirt number on it. Bugger.
