Gilberto Silva, when he was at Panathinaikos.

Erm...

More Panathinaikos repaints incoming!

(The above statement is actually true! I now have a returning customer from Greece!)

Lee Sharpe, Torquay

Here's Lee Sharpe in his Torquay days.

I'm gonna be honest: I don't know if Sharpe had the beard at Torquay (I don't really remember him ever having one, tbh) and I don't know if he wore number 11 for them.

(The recipient of this figure was happy enough for it to have both of these)

I couldn't even find a picture of him in Torquay colours, other than this one!

Not the clearest! Thank goodness for the dates section on Sharpe's Wikipedia, and that wonderful site; Historical kits!

Peters, Spurs

Sometimes, a really simple repaint ends up looking really classy!

If I say so myself, this is one of those times!

Martin Peters, World Cup winner, in his Spurs days.

I think it also helps that this figure is an outstanding likeness!

Barkley, Everton

Here's Ross Barkley; a player that I think we can genuinely have high hopes for, for England's future.

Barkley has been made as a Soccerstarz figure, but for in terms of making him as a Prostar, I had to settle for a lookalike. I do think it's a pretty good one tho!

This one was for an order. I bought another of the same figure to do one for ebay and waited to see if he had a great World Cup, before deciding whether to do it as Everton or England... Everton it is! (through no fault of his own, I might add!)

Strachan, Leeds

Realised I hadn't posted a Leeds pic in ages, so what better way to remedy that than with everybodies favourite slightly bonkers Scotsman?!

Corinthian didn't release a Strachan figure, so I had to go with a 'lookalike'. I think this one is passable, tho it irritates me a bit that he doesn't have a ball!

I went with the '92 kit, rather that the 89-90 'Have you ever seen a better goal' shirt...

It was a tough call, but I'm (slowly) putting together the 1-11 of that title winning team, and that swayed me!

Costa Rica... the last bit!

Well, who'd have thought, as I painted these, that Costa Rica would be cruising through World Cup group D, leaving Italy to fight it out with Uruguay for second, and England languishing bottom with 0 points?!

Not me... I'd forgotten that England were even playing Costa Rica when I painted them!

Anyway, here are the final 3 'Los Ticos' that I painted:

Waddle, Spurs

Quite a plain and simple kit, this one.

I think Chris himself appreciated this repaint; he favourited and retweeted it, anyway:

Mitroglou, Greece

Well, being as the World Cup is about to get underway (YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!) here is an International repaint!

Kostas Mitroglou, who will probably have more impact for Greece than he has for Fulham.

Let's face it, all he needs to do is get on the pitch to do that.

Here's Greece's brand spanking new World Cup Shirt!

Januzaj, Man Utd (x2)

The first Man Utd repaint to feature on my blog... it's just business!

This was one of the figures I used to test out the theory that players in the media spotlight sell better on ebay. This one went. So did this one:

But then again, so have a few players from the past, in significant or unusual kits, such as Hartlepool Beardsley, Swansea Lampard, and Bournemouth Anderton.

While I think current players sell well, I also think that sometimes, a quirky figure will also catch a collectors eye!

Here's a pic of Januzaj, for you to compare my 'lookalike' figure to.

Kolo Toure, Liverpool

This figure was my first repainted repaint!

I bought the figure whilst Kolo was at City, and painted it sky blue.

I didn't get round to listing it on ebay until after he had left City so, not entirely surprisingly, there were no takers.

I decided to redo it, and am glad that I did!

The figure looks pretty slick, if I say so myself, and ended up selling fairly well on ebay.

Tom Ince, Palace

I painted this way back in the January transfer window, and realised that, as I hadn't already posted it, I'd better get on and do it, before it becomes completely irrelevant.

I can't help but feel that Ince won't be at Palace next season after his far from sparkling loan spell.

Another reason this repaint came to mind was, on the day his loan move was agreed, someone on talk sport (hilariously) suggested he could book himself on the plane to the World Cup. I know, right?!

Anyway, I like the repaint. The kit was quite an interesting one to do, the white numbers show up well, and I think the red 'under-armour' adds something.

Admittedly the figure doesn't look that much like him, but I couldn't resist using the Paul Ince figure, especially because I had one in my big box!

In case you are wondering, this repaint was successfully ebayed. Get in touch if you'd like a Paul Ince as Tom Ince of your own! Maybe even back in Blackpool kit!!

Nicola Berti, Spurs

Nicola Berti, who spent the 98-99 season at Spurs.

I don't have much else to say about this one, other than I like it!

Here's a picture to compare it to.
