Cudicini, Spurs

Here's a repaint from the big Spurs order I did last year (It's very rare that I post pictures in the order I actually do them; I mix them up for a bit of variety!)

Carlo Cudicini, more famous for his time at Chelsea, perhaps, but here in his Spurs days.

There's something I enjoy about repainting a keeper, even though this kit is fairly plain!

Carlo thought it was worth favouriting on Twitter, anyway!

And here it is in real life, just to compare my repaint to!

Costa Rica, Numbers 8, 9 and 10, World Cup 2014

The latest in the Costa Rica series of pictures! I give you:

Dave Myrie:

Joel Campbell:

And Captain, Bryan Ruiz:

I painted both Ruiz and Campbell in the first series of Costa Rica repaints I did for this customer (I've also done a few Campbells in Olympiakos kit) but I would say these two far exceed the originals.

I think I have already mentioned in this blog that I think these Costa Rica repaints are some of my finest work!

Joel Campbell, who I've had a bit of reaction from before on social media responded like this:

while I also got a favourite from Dave Myrie. You can check it out, by having a look at the Tweets album on my Facebook page!

I should also mention that the Photo of the Ruiz Figure (which is clearly far better than my usual standard!!) was taken by my good friends at Eighth Avenue Photography!

Lukaku, WBA Soccerstarz

Here's my first ever West Brom repaint!

I've done a couple of Prostar Lukakus before, using lookalike figures, but this is an actual Lukaku, originally in Belgium kit.

As you'll know if you follow my blog, or facebook page, I've done a few Soccerstarz figures, but nowhere near as many as prostar sized ones.

I feel like I'm still learning with each one- this was the first I did in stripes, for example, so I was very pleased with how it turned out! The customer described it as 'Top Drawer', so I guess he was pleased with it too!

Lennon, Leeds Soccerstarz

Here's my second repaint of Aaron Lennon, in Leeds United kit, and part of the growing Soccerstarz section of my collection!

With the Prostar repaint, I painted him in the kit from our first season in the Championship, where he put in his best Leeds performances.

For a change, I did this one in the kit of his debut season; the year we were relegated from the Prem, and Lennon made his first appearance in the Leeds first team as a 16 year old.

... Yes- he had a mustache and beard at 16! I had to paint it on!

Mellor, Bath City

The return of Bath City figures to my Blog!

Here is Goalkeeper, Jason Mellor; the kind of order that adds real variety to repainting!

I didn't tweet him myself this time, the customer did that, but this is what he had to say about it:

And in case you want a look at the kit:

Pollock, Man City

Another City repaint for a returning customer, I give you Jamie Pollock!

To be honest, all I can really remember Pollock doing at Man City is scoring perhaps the best own goal ever!

Pretty good, eh?! Worth a repaint for that alone!!

More City repaints soon!

Clough, Leeds

Here's a repaint that I've done twice in recent weeks; Brian Clough in his Leeds days!

I had this figure, which is based on Clough's appearance in his later days at Forest. for ages before it occurred to me that I could repaint it for my Leeds collection.

It was quite a simple one too; I repainted the jacket from Clough's trademark green, and also darkened the hair to make him look a little younger.

Once I'd done it, and added the pic to my Facebook page, it wasn't long before a customer asked me to replicate it for them. The one pictured above is the second version.

Here's a pic of Clough while at Leeds to compare it to:

Somewhat loserishly, I'm quite pleased to have another repaint to add to my 'Coaches and Managers' tag!

Costa Rica, World Cup 2014, Numbers 5, 6 and 7!

Here are the next 3 Costa Rica World cup figures... I've decided to just do them 3 at a time in number order! So, here are:

Celso Borges:

Oscar Duarte:

And Christian Bolanos:

And not to forget, a couple of twitter responses:

Ah, I must have screen grabbed Duarte's favourite on my phone! Have a look in my Tweets album on Facebook if you want to see!

My Facebook page is incidentally really close to 350 likes. You know what to do!

Beardsley, Bolton

How many Peter Beardsley figures have I done now?! The man had more clubs than a golfer!!

I've now done him in Hartlepool, Vancouver Whitecaps and Man City kits! (Tho I don't think I've posted the pic of the City one yet.) Adding this Bolton repaint to that number makes him, somewhat surprisingly, my most repainted figure... I think!

Beardsley had a brief spell with Bolton towards the end of his career, where he made *Wiki stats warning* 21 appearances and scored twice.

This figure is currently available for sale! Comment here, or message me on Facebook or Twitter if you are interested!

van der Vaart, Spurs

I painted this ages ago, but as you know if you follow my blog, I try not to put loads of the same team up in a row. I vary them, to keep your attention!

This was quite a simple repaint, as the kit van der Vaart wore whilst at Spurs was very plain.

I've often found tho, that simple kits often end up looking really slick. eg Greaves and Lennon, to name but 2!

Here's a photo to compare my repaint to:

'Cutler', Liverpool

If you follow my blog, you may have seen a different 'Cutler' figure posted a while back.

This was a Christmas present ordered for the brother in the same family... tho he's obviously supporting a different team!

This season's Liverpool kit was requested.
