Well friends, I've already posted the following on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter... why not here too?!
In just a couple of weeks time, I will be running The Great North Run; one of England’s most famous half marathon races! That’s 13.1 miles for anyone who didn’t know!
I had an idea that I thought might be able to boost what I can raise for Cancer Research; a fantastic charity that’s very close to my heart, as well as hopefully giving my page followers a chance to have some fun and win some prizes!
So the idea is this: sweepstake! Who can get the closest estimate to the time it will take me to finish?!
If you want to take part, all you have to do is:
1. Click on the just giving link right here
2. Sponsor me £5 (remember to add your name!)
3. Comment below with your guess on the time it will take me to finish the race
And that’s it! Whoever gets closest to the correct time will win 3 free Corinthian repaints of your choice, with the runner up getting one free repaint.
To give you some help towards your guesses, I have run the half marathon distance 3 times in training, and all of my times have been somewhere between 2 hours and 2 hours 30 minutes. Please give your guesses in hours, minutes and seconds eg 2 hours 45 minutes and 12 seconds would be: 2:45:12

* I will be advertising this contest across all my social media platforms, and the winner/runner up could come from any of them
* You may have more than one guess, but must pledge £5 for each entry. Please add your facebook/Instagram/Twitter name in your just giving comment if it is different to your real name, to make sure I can identify you correctly!
* I reserve the right to adjust your estimate (to the nearest available time) in the event of you guessing exactly the same time as someone else. I will inform you of this before the race
* The prize is the painting- not the figures themselves- you can supply them, or you can choose from my box of spares… but don’t go expecting me to source a Stroppa or Sheridan for you! If you want me to source the figures, the cost will come out of the value of the prize.
* If you have figures with me at the time of the race, you may choose to take the prize as a discount, rather than getting 3 new ones if you prefer.
* While I have stated the prize is 3 Corinthian repaints, I am open to discussing a prize of equivalent value which could include other figures (funko pops, subbuteo XL figures etc)
* If you don’t want to enter the competition, but would like to sponsor me anyway: thank you kindly! All donations are gratefully received!
* The Great North Run takes place on Sunday 12th September. I will be using my official result (recorded with micro chip timing) to decide on the winner. If no one gets the exact time, whoever is closest will be the winner.
* After the event, give me a few days to sort out the winner; I’ll probably be a bit tired!
