Atouba, Spurs

Who wants to see a repaint of a Spurs player that I know basically nothing about?!

Timmy Atouba!

Erm... he's wearing yellow!

I think this is the shirt he scored his only Spurs goal in.

*Googles*

He played for them 18 times in a year long spell at White Hart Lane.

Hart, Blackpool

You might not know this, but Joe Hart once had a loan spell at Blackpool!

Here he is!

A fairly simple kit, this one... but as for the white writing for the sponsor... grrr!

The kit made up for it by having a black number and name on the back!!

The Coca-Cola League badge definitely adds to this one too!

Hart played 5 games on loan at Blackpool, while they were challenging for promotion from League 1 (I think!) They won all 5 games in which he appeared!

Not bad for a youngster signed solely because of an injury crisis!

Scales, Leeds

As you may know, I'm having to think obscure for any Leeds related Prostar repaints these days!

With that in mind:

Here's John Scales, who never played a first team game for Leeds!

This is nothing to do with him nearly signing for us in the mid-90s.

I found out on Wikipedia that he was at Leeds from 1984-85. His stats read: Games 0, Goals 0... but he must have played a few reserve games, right?!

Fortunately, soon after painting this, I saw Scales' name on a reserves team-sheet that Football Memorabilia posted on twitter.

Unfortunately, I chose a different shirt number to the one on the only direct piece of Scales/Leeds evidence I have seen! Maybe he wore number 6 in another game!

Here it is!

Anelka, City

Love this one!

Nicola Anelka here in an away kit from his Man City days.

One of the tougher things about repainting striped kits is getting the decals with the name and number, sponsor etc exactly right. When you pull it off, it looks great!

This one, in my opinion, looks great!!

More importantly, the customer agreed, saying that this was one of his favourites from the recent batch!

Here's the shirt:

Austin, Southampton

My latest Soccerstarz repaint is Charlie Austin, in Southampton colours!

...What is it with green away kits this season?!

I imagine this kit was chosen for this repaint partly because there is a good chance a home Southampton version will be released in future, but perhaps even more because Austin wore this kit for his Saints debut... a debut in which he scored the winning goal against Man U!

Decals are always a bit fiddly when it comes to soccerstarz size figures, but fortunately, the green version of the Southampton badge fit perfectly into the blue sash that I'd painted on!

Here's a pic from Austin's debut:
