International Break

As we're currently in the middle of a set of international fixtures, how about a couple of repaints in international kits?

First, one to offer a little cheer to any Irish followers I have:

If I remember rightly, I mixed up some slightly darker green for the sleeves on this kit. If you can't tell... well, it was only a subtle difference anyway!

And here's Celtic legend Billy McNeill in his Scotland colours. Nice simple, but effective repaint.

Portsmouth Goalies

I did a nice little Portsmouth order recently- 4 outfield players, and these 2 goalies:

Nice and simple, but a lovely repaint, this one. I always liked Shaka... and was most disappointed when I found out his name was actually Neil.

Another pretty simple kit... awkwardness of the pink paint not withstanding! I did at least add a captain's armband to it!

David James liked the pic of these figures on instagram, if that's of any interest to you!

The Final Sheffield United figures!

For the time being, at least, these are the last Sheffield United figures in my repaints album.

The guy I made them for had definitely got to a similar stage that I did with my own Leeds collection when he asked for a Jim Leighton; one loan spell with no first team games!! Hence the number 13 shirt.

A couple more nice figures here. I like the Phelan sculpt, and you don't see too many Alan Wright repaints, so they are always of interest.

Everton, 1985-86 (I think... without checking)

Another Everton set for one of my regulars, and it's featuring a fair few lookalikes this time.

He probably shares the same frustrations as me as a Leeds fan, in that many of the greats from one of their best eras never made it into corinthian form.

Anyway, here they are. Lineker and Steven are the ones Corinthian made as themselves!!

Nice kit this one, and also the first outing for the le coq sportif number font that I found!

To be honest, I don't even know if the lookalikes are good!! He just sent the figures to me! I didn't google them, and my knowledge of football in the 1980s isn't great... mainly cos Leeds were crap!!

Bolton Wanderers

Here are the last 5 Bolton Wanderers figures to be posted from my repaints album. I considered splitting them into a 2 and a three, but have all 5 as a Saturday treat!!

Comments below each pic... if I have something worth saying about them!!

I always liked Frandsen when I was a kid. I think it was just cos he scored a lot of goals, tbh!

This figure had a very minor remodel element- I filled in the gap in the v-neck in order to recreate the round neck that this shirt had.

This was the trickiest repaint of this set. Those dark lines do look a bit wonky... it's one of those times where the contours of the figure don't really do me any favours!

Also... white numbers on sky blue shirts: bleugh.

I really liked this one! Considering it was a pretty easy one too!

I mean, what can you say about a kit like this?! I don't know if the timings are correct on this, but to my mind, this is peak Barclay's Premiership Bolton!!
