Alan Thompson 07-08

Leeds United Bolton Wanderers

Ok... so hardly a Leeds legend, but a former captain, and what can I say: there was a figure of him for 50p on ebay!

(For some reason, the left sleeve looks a bit messy- that must be to do with how the 'bumps' on the kit come up on camera- genuinely doesn't look like that up in person)

Quite pleased with it on the whole.

Bobby Moore, Escape to Victory

Bobby Moore, as featured in Escape to Victory.

Bobby played Terry Brady, and wore his customary number 6 shirt.

Sorry Hammers fans, but this is the figure I repainted!

David Batty 92-93 Away

Leeds UNited Yellow Admiral Away kit 1992 1993

Probably the hardest one that I've attempted yet.

Fairly pleased with the result, tho I gave myself a problem, by putting the sponsor slightly too low.

Still came out ok.

Corinthian made another sculpt of David Batty, but this one was never produced in Leeds colours, hence the repaint!

Roy Race 1950s/60s

Melchester Rovers 1950s/ 1960s kit repaint

My last Melchester Rovers repaint, for the time being at least!

This one is based on the 1950s/60s kits which were largely similar, but sometimes had a badge, and sometimes didn't.

I purposely made the 9 (which is hand-painted- no decals) big and square, as was the style for Melchester in this era!

The original figure, with suitably immaculate side parting, was Martin Peters.

Imagine my Excitement!

So, in case you were wondering, most of the figures that I have repainted so far have come from my own collection, or from ebay.

Imagine my excitement, then, when a friend saw some of my repaint photos on facebook, and commented: "I have a box of these if you want them!"

Imagine my excitement (again) when I got my hands on this:

65 figures and 2 display stands! All for the mere cost of postage!

Thanks Ross!

Paddy Kisnorbo (away kit, 2010)

Here's Paddy, resplendent in our promotion season away kit!

I think the headband is what makes this one work; it's just tissue paper and a strip of a plaster!

The original figure was Roberto Carlos.

Ardiles: Escape to Victory

Carlos Rey

The Second in my Escape to Victory series.

Ossie Ardiles played Carlos Rey... quite which Allied country he was supposed to have come from, I'm not sure!

A man of the match contender in the Allies' match against Germany!

Don Revie XI

David Harvey, Paul Reaney, Terry Cooper, Billy Bremner, Jack Charlton, Norman Hunter, Peter Lorimer, Allan Clarke, Mick Jones, Johnny Giles, Eddie Gray, Paul Madeley

So, I've decided not to post individual pictures for this lot; basically because, barring the Keeper, all the kits are the same.

This is the project that got me started on repainting: the idea of having a Don Revie Leeds XI... it's actually a 12, I felt Madeley gets left out enough as it is!

There were a few factors involved in figure selection; facial similarity, hairstyle, and price of figure (or whether I already owned it, for that matter!)

Tho it's hard to tell from this picture, all have the 'LUFC' script/badge on their chests (I added this to the existing Jack Charlton figure) and shirt numbers too.

They stand in number order, from 1-12;

Harvey, Reaney, Cooper, Bremner, Charlton, Hunter, Lorimer, Clarke, Jones, Giles, Gray, Madeley.

Danny Mills 2000 away kit

leeds away kit 2000-2001

Corinthian never made a Danny Mills figure in Leeds colours, so I got hold of one in Man City kit and did it myself!

I chose the away kit cos I was bored of doing white kits for all of my Leeds repaints!

As far as I know, Dacourt and Viduka were the only players produced in this kit.

EDIT: There was also a David Batty produced. It recently went for 17 quid on ebay... may have to wait a while for that one!
