'John Colby': Escape to Victory

The Allies, John Colby repainted corinthian figure

Being as he sneaked into the last post, here's John Colby (aka Michael Caine) of West Ham United and England.

Here he is as the Captain and manager of the Allies, in Escape to Victory.

This is the last figure I plan on painting in my Escape to Victory Series, tho I will post a picture of them all together soon.

The figure chosen to best portray Caine's marvellously unkempt curly side-parting was Scott Gemmill

'Hatch' Stallone, Escape to Victory

Here's my latest Escape to Victory repaint.

Obviously I had to choose a 'lookalike' figure for Stallone, so went with Raul.

The only thing that doesn't sit quite right with me on this one is that he isn't in a 'keepers pose. I may attempt to rectify that when I have some time to experiment with head transplants in the summer!

Here he is in the film (in a standard Corinthian keeper pose too!)

Bobby Moore, Escape to Victory

Bobby Moore, as featured in Escape to Victory.

Bobby played Terry Brady, and wore his customary number 6 shirt.

Sorry Hammers fans, but this is the figure I repainted!

Ardiles: Escape to Victory

Carlos Rey

The Second in my Escape to Victory series.

Ossie Ardiles played Carlos Rey... quite which Allied country he was supposed to have come from, I'm not sure!

A man of the match contender in the Allies' match against Germany!

'Pele'; Escape to Victory

Paul Ince, Luis Fernandez Pele Number 10 Corinthian football figure

If you don't know what this post is about, get to know!

I just couldn't resist painting the kit featured in one of my all time favourite films! It is sported by the Allied prisoners of War in a game against the German national team in 'Escape to Victory'.

Pele plays Luis Fernandez of Trinidad and Tobago, but still wears his customary number 10!

The film also features Bobby Moore and Ossie Ardiles, as well as Michael Caine and Sly Stallone (repaints using other figures coming at some point!)

Tho I wouldn't dream of repainting a rare Pele figure, Paul Ince seemed a reasonable enough likeness (in looks, if not ability!)
