Nielsen, Spurs

I'm pretty pleased with this one. Considering that this figure is pretty rare, there was also an added layer of pressure when I painted it too!

Allan Nielsen, in the kit Spurs wore when they won the League Cup in... I wanna say '99?!

Here he is celebrating the winning goal!

Mitroglou, Olympiakos

If you keep a close eye on this blog, you'll have already seen a Kostas Mitroglou figure in Greece kit. Well, here's one of him for Olympiakos.

I would assume he is still more popular there than he is at Fulham. I wouldn't bet against him returning there at some point this season either, tbh.

Naismith, Everton

Steven Naismith, a player who certainly surprised me with the form he discovered last season, under Roberto Martinez.

He has even been good enough to stop me from calling him Gary Naysmith, about 3 times out of 4.

This is a 'lookalike' figure, and quite a good one, I'd say!

Maybe he has just slightly too much hair!

Wes Brown, Sunderland.

When I got a job lot of figures a while back, one of them was football's most interesting man Wes Brown.

I painted this in the hope that, being as it was relatively current, someone might take it off my hands on ebay... they haven't yet.

I was pleased with the end result of this one, anyway. And if nothing else, it's one less Man Utd figure in the world!

Habib Habibou, Leeds

Another figure that may have taken as many minutes to paint as he spent on the pitch for Leeds...

For some reason, Habibou has a sort of cult status among Leeds fans, probably more down to the fact that he once threw a duck and 'bantz' than anything he did on the pitch, but when I discovered this figure, I wanted to repaint it anyway.

As with the original paint job, I had to leave off his name, due to the size of the hair, and the amount of the back that it covers!

I liked this kit, and I like this repaint! So did Habib:

And for any of you that somehow managed to miss his eventful spell at Leeds, here's a pic of him:

Parker, Spurs

tottenham hotspur

My second 'Fan Favourite' figure, as part of the Spurs project that I have been involved in!

I like how the HP logo looks on this one...

...But don't have much else to say about it!

Here's the real Parker, modelling Spurs' 13-14 kit!

Ferdinand, QPR

Les Ferdinand, as he was at QPR in the Premier League's first season.

It's one of those 'little known facts' (that has been used so often that it's become well known) that QPR were the highest placed London team in 1992-93.

This fact, along with Sir Les' popularity at Rangers, is what made me do this repaint.

It has already been snapped up on ebay!

Deane, Sheff Utd

Had a spare Deane figure, and thought this had enough historic value to make it appealing.

Brian Deane; scorer of the first ever Premier League goal in August 1992.

...

(Football didn't start in 1992, nor was it invented by Sky.)

Djibril Cisse, Panathinaikos

Part of a big order from a fan of the Greek Superleague (I put that cos I'm not sure who he supports- the order included Panathinaikos, and Olympiakos!)

Anyway, here's the slightly bonkers Djibril Cisse.

Alfie Haaland, Leeds United

This is one of the rarest figures that I have repainted!

Eventually, I managed to get hold of this Haaland figure (which began life in Norway colours) at a fairly reasonable price on ebay.

Once acquired, a great deal of thought had to go into which kit to paint him into- I didn't want to do just any old kit on a figure of this calibre. Then, my good friend Matthew Evans suggested the kit from the night Leeds played Roma in the Uefa Cup at Elland Road.

Haaland played a key part in Leeds' winning goal, and aside from that, put in probably his best performance for the club. I loved the idea- a unique kit combo even among my many other Leeds repaints...  and I love the result!

I think Alfie likes it too:

Here he is in the Roma game:

Robins FC Under 9s

Absolutely loved doing this order.

A while back now, a guy approached me about doing figures for the children's team that he coached. Instead of medals, or trophies at the end of the season, he wanted to give them a figure each.

I loved the idea straight away, and soon, a deal was struck! Several messages discussing possible lookalikes, shirt numbers and boot colours later, I sent him 10 figures in  time for their end of season get together.

Here's a closer look at one of them:

Recently, he sent me some pictures of the children's reactions, and if I'd been glad to take on the project beforehand, I was delighted when I saw these:

They have even used a picture of the figures as the banner on their website!
