"Bowyer for England" was a chant that echoed around Elland Road numerous times in the midfielders spell at Leeds.
His off the field problems meant that Bowyer was unavailable for selection for England at the time he was in his best form- in many people's eyes, a time when, solely based on football, he merited a place.
In the end, he only got one cap... which was enough to make one Leeds fan ask me to repaint this!
It was one of those times where I got the chance to measure my work against the mass produced Corinthian figures, as several were produced in this kit. I think my work stands up!
