Leeds... relegation season!

Not the most morale boosting title, but looking through my repaints album, I saw these 3 that I hadn't blogged yet, and that's what linked them!

Three players from Leeds' last season in the Premier League to date. Two Soccerstarz and one Microstar.

This was actually the second time I painted a Pennant (Click here to see the first, including a tweet back from him)

Caldwell... well the figure is actually not the Caldwell we signed on loan, it's his brother! But I figures, his name is on the base, and the likeness is passable enough!

Milner was just a teenager at the time, and started the season on loan to Swindon!

Celtic, away kits of the '60s and '70s!

One of my regulars, who is a big Celtic fan recently came by a Lisbon Lions box set at a price he couldn't refuse!
...
But he already had one!! The result? Plenty of Celtic away kits and Scotland National team repaints!

Here are the first few Celtic ones... I've grouped them together in that they are all predominantly green!

I've always found Celtic's tradition of numbering the shorts, rather than shirts interesting. Obviously they changed at some point, so I just trusted my customer's knowledge on these.

The highlight of this bunch has to be the hand-painted Umbro logos on Lennox!

Leeds United Tonka Figures 1976-81

I'm pretty excited about a project that one of my regulars has just started.

Not only is it Leeds related, but also appeals to my completest (if that's a word) side!

Basically, he's got a load of Tonka figures, and we're working through all the Leeds kits from the late 1970s to the 1990s (I think!)

And if it's not inappropriate for me to say this about my own work, they're looking great so far!

Here are the first 2:

You'll have to keep your eye out for the next few! I've already painted 8 for him and I can't wait to get started on the next batch!

Cranford, Vivid Imaginations Figures

I can't tell you much about the team: Cranford, if I'm honest.

What I can tell you is that one of their players loves Vivid Imaginations figures, and is very generous!!

Here are three figures he asked me to do:

I'm enjoying doing the Vivid Imaginations figures, tho they do take longer!

Spurs, 2010-11 Champions League campaign

Moments ago, I started writing a fairly lengthy paragraph about selecting photos and losing track of which I'd posted here, as opposed to my facebook page. Then I decided that wasn't worth the time it took to read!

Here are some Spurs Champions League 2011 kit repaints:

A couple of things to notice; the Luka Modric figure is a custom remodel (not done by me!!) I just repainted it.

I also really like that I used the correct shirt number font that Spurs only used in Europe. I love that kind of detail in making a really authentic repaint.

Other than that... well, I've put them here in shirt number order, obviously!!

I think this might also be the largest number of figures I've put into a single blog post!

Schmeichel, Leeds Soccerstarz

One of the main pluses about Leicester winning the league last season was that I could get a Schmeichel figure to repaint for my collection!

Here he is:

If you've checked this blog out in great depht, you'll know that I did a Peter Schmeichel figure as Kasper way back when!

This one looks more like him!

Here he is in one of his finest moments at Elland Road...

Tierney, Fulham

It seems only right that on a night where Fulham have massively annoyed me bu snatching a late equaliser against my beloved Leeds that I should post a pic of a Fulham figure, cos; reasons.

This was actually a Christmas present and isn't a 'real' Fulham player at all; it's a lookalike that someone requested for one of his mates.

It came out quite nicely! Note the Adidas stripes on the socks!

I also got to use the new style Football League font in red for the first time, and it looks great... yeah, that kind of thing genuinely pleases nerd like me!

Anyway, here's the kit... presented rather strangely, but it was the clearest image I found!
